Preschool
It’s great to be 3! At Messiah, our pre-school classes are designed for children who have reached their third birthday by September 30th and can independently use the restroom. The 3’s experience at Messiah is a wonderful way to introduce your child to the joy of learning and exploration in a loving Christian school environment.
Our 3’s curriculum is based upon the Ohio Early Learning Standards and joyfully implemented into our classroom using a variety of quality teaching methods and strategies. Our playful approach to learning is designed to develop and inspire the whole child, spiritually, socially, emotionally, physically and cognately, while honoring each child’s unique style of learning.
Special attention is given in the 3’s classroom to the further development of social and emotional skills which will later enhance your child’s Pre-K and kindergarten learning and growth experiences.
Our 3’s classroom communities are led by two dedicated early childhood educators and shared by no more than 12 students per class. Our 3’s classes meet on Monday- Friday from either 9-11:30 a.m. or 12:30-3 p.m. We provide our children with a healthy snack each school day.
Pre-K
Welcome to Pre-K! Messiah’s Pre-K classes are designed for children who have reached their fourth birthday by September 30th. The Pre-K experience at Messiah encourages growth and development in your child while preparing them for a happy and successful transition to kindergarten.
Our Pre-K curriculum, based upon the Ohio Early Learning Standards, is joyfully implemented into our classroom, using a variety of quality teaching methods and strategies. In our Pre-K classrooms, Messiah early childhood educators skillfully balance our playful approach to learning with the introduction of more structured learning opportunities to foster growth and a positive learning experience. We encourage small and large group learning along with many opportunities for independent thinking and free choice. Our goal is to develop and inspire the whole child, spiritually, socially, emotionally, physically and cognately while honoring each child’s unique style of learning.
Special attention is given to the further development of a child’s social and emotional skills, which are key to continued quality learning experiences and growth.
Our Pre-K classroom communities are led by two dedicated early childhood educators and shared by no more than 14 students per class. Our Pre-K morning class meets from 9-11:30 a.m. and our Pre-K afternoon class meets from 12:30-3 p.m. Both of our part-day Pre-K classes include a healthy snack. All half-day Pre-K classes meet Monday through Friday to allow us ample opportunities to foster growth and development in your child.
