Education – I am a graduate of Watkins Memorial High School and also earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Life Science with a minor in Visual Arts from Otterbein College.
Experience - This is my fourteenth year at Messiah Christian School. I previously taught 5 years at Hosanna Lutheran Childhood Center in Pataskala and 1 year at Etna United Methodist Church’s Mom’s Day Out. I was also a substitute preschool, elementary and middle school teacher. I enjoy working with children and love seeing their growth and development throughout the school year.
Although I have retired from teaching, I have remained as the school Webmaster. I maintain the school website and also find ways to incorporate technology into our learning and play. I also occasionally sub and work on special projects around the school.
Family - I have been married to my husband Matthew for 30 years. Matt is a Columbus Police Officer. We have three children: Cameron, Caitlyn and Carson. My oldest son, Cameron and his wife, Jordan, live in Mount Vernon where he is a high school teacher and coaches football and wrestling. They just had a baby boy which makes me a Grandma now! My daughter, Caitlyn and her husband Doug, live in Logan where Cat attends Ohio University in the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program. My youngest son, Carson is a Radiologic Technician at OSU East and is planning a wedding with his fiance Sami. We have 2 dogs. Our family likes sports and playing games together.
